Separate Worlds — Bring who you are to where you are.
Have you ever moved to a new town or started going to a new school? Think about how you felt on your first day there. Chances are you probably felt a little confused. Sure there were things that might have felt familiar or similar to where you came from, but, for the most part, things just didn’t feel right.
Has being a Christian ever felt like this to you? You have a whole life at school, at home, or with your friends, but when you go to church, something about it just feels off. It’s almost as if you’re torn between two worlds. Paul wrote about this exact feeling to believers in the church of Philippi. And as we look at what he tells them in the book of Philippians, we’ll see that it’s not where we are, but who we are that really defines us.
